For bareboat charter you need a licence recognised in Croatia. According to the Croatian ministry's list, this includes e.g. the Austrian certificate “C – 20 nautical miles” (boats and yachts up to 30 GT) and the German Sportbootführerschein See. If the boat has a VHF radio, a valid radio operator certificate is also required.

If you sleep on board, crew and guests must be registered in the eCrew system no later than departure. This is handled via the charter company – have everyone's ID details ready and agree in advance who submits the list.

The tourist tax for boaters is paid exclusively online via nautika.evisitor.hr. On charter boats it is collected by the charter company – ask whether it is included in the price.
